About Project Playback

Connecting Music to What YOU Care About

What is it?
Project Playback is a new and exciting program that connects organizations and charitable groups with their supporters through the power of music. Created by musician and composer Cory Gabel, Project Playback is a growing collection of musical artists that essentially make their catalog of CDs and downloadable music available to various groups for fund raising activities.

How It Began
Throughout his musical career, Cory has donated a significant portion of the profits from the sale of his music to charity. Following the diagnosis of his niece with the rare genetic disease Sanfilippo Syndrome, he began donating a portion of all of his sales to The Children’s Medical Research Foundation, a small nonprofit organization dedicated to finding a cure.

Also during that time, as his solo piano music became known by fans around the country, he increasingly received e-mails and notes from people sharing their stories about how the music had been an important part of their healing, coping, relaxing, caring and more. There was an emotional connection between the music, and important events or concerns in their lives.

How Does it Work?

Who Does the Money Go To?
Every day, Project Playback is partnering with new non-profit groups, hospitals, and other charities, both locally and nationally. These groups all share a common vision of extending opportunities for everyone by improving health, eradicating rare diseases, sharing cultural and educational oppoortunities with young people, ensuring equal opportunities for all... and much more. These groups use the funds raised via Project Playback to further their research and outreach efforts.
